- Incorporating Flash into your web page
- Tables - cell padding/cell spacing, tables within tables
- Review of text graphics and rollover buttons.
- Modifying graphics - marquee tool, feather effect
- Review posting.
- Test site in various resolutions.
TOPIC: YOUR FAMILY! What would you put on a website with your family information?
STEP ONE:
Due Friday!! In Word, create your site's layout using the drawing tools (similar to the "fan club" activity). How will your site be laid out? What content will you have on each page? Your site must include four pages -- a home page plus three others.
STEP TWO: Design:
- Create a new site in Dreamweaver by creating a subfolder to your Dreamweaver
folder, calling in Practice3.
- Create a home page site by saving a new blank page as index.html.
- Be sure to include a page title and set up any background/text/link colors
you would like. (My advice is to set up a home page the way you want it and do "save as" like we did in class.)
You may arrange your site how you'd like but it must include the following:
- A title graphic on each page that you create in Fireworks.
- Rollover graphics as your buttons. These buttons must be consistent on each page and all links must work!
- A flash movie you create which include pictures and sound. The file must also have a stop action and be successfully inserted into your web page. It can be a banner ont he page or a move centrally located on the page. It's up to you how you use it!
- Anchor links. On some page, create at least one anchor link ("to top" will work). I just want you practicing that.
- A link to a page that is NOT a web page. Maybe you have a powerpoint or class project that you can link to. Be creative.
- One of your graphics must have a feather effect.
- Your layout must be clean, consistent, and attractive. Do NOT make graphics too big or too small. Be sure we can read your fonts but they should not be so large that we have to do a lot of scrolling. (Remember-scrolling in web is bad!).
- Spell check and grammar check for mistakes!
- MAKE THIS YOUR BEST PROJECT YET. Keep it professional.
- All your files must be organized! I would expect to see a graphics folder for graphics and a documents folder for documents.
- POST this website when you're done to 10.4.1.125.
Most of all.... HAVE FUN WITH THIS PROJECT!!!!
